B. Swim - Designer Nikol Roberts
Trends for b. are Bold and Bright colors mixed with black and whites.
Our prints really pop out to the customers. We have introduced some new, clean, and sexy but understandable styles. For 2010 we have focused on perfecting our fit, researching some of the softest fabric on the market, and developing beautiful hardware. Our solid fabric is a Meryl circular knit, that is divine, and we print on a high quality tricot, which pops our bright colors. Reversible’s were a must this season because lets face it, in this economy, the customer wants more bang for their buck, and what’s better than a 2-in-1 bikini.

Billabong - Senior Design Director Mandy Fry
This Spring, Billabong reflects back into the late 70’s and early 80’s with a feminine twist.
Prints take a fresh new approach with two-color geo’s, snakeskin animal prints, acid washes, and ditsy floral.
Colors this season are bright and eclectic; we’ve paired Passion and Aquamarine, Lime green and Emerald, Charcoal with Black and Neon’s.
Styling and details include cut-out one-pieces, reversible skimpy bottoms, underwire bras, studding, metal rings, and lots of ruffles.
Overall the looks in this collection are some of springs most unique and flirty silhouettes allowing the bohemian beach girl to show her edgy side.

Body Glove - PR Coordinator Sarah Lalau
Neon colors will continue to be very popular and we’re constantly offering new silhouettes. The number of SKU’s has remained around the same as last season. However, we’ve cut down on multiple color ways and added more individual prints. We need to provide our retailers with as much variety as possible.

Hobie - Sales Rep Lacy Hitman
A classic reinvented, we are going back to vintage Hobie days, kicking off with “Venice Beach” a Boho-chic hippy inspired surf look. With our second capsule “surf.now”, we see surf fashion morphing into technological tomorrow land…picture Rosie the robot on a long board.
Nationwide specialty store distribution will be more of a focus for our lines in 2010. Based on the strong selling performance across the nation, and our fulfillment capabilities, we aren’t projecting any retraction in forward orders. We anticipate moderate to strong growth depending on the distribution tier.
Hot Tuna - Kyla Brennan, Sales, and Jennifer McVey, Marketing
Hot Tuna’s 2010 Swimwear collection will bring pops of fluorescents mixed with blacks and whites. Silhouettes will include funky fresh one pieces.
Hurley
Bold color statements in exotic prints, strips and plaids are key along with novelty trim details such as hardware in various shapes and sizes. Back detailing is also a key new trend for 2010 especially in the cut out 1 piece, halter bras & triangle tops.
Insight -Vanessa Chiu, National Sales/Fashion PR
This season, Insight Swim pays homage to the iconic 80s Aussie Beach babe…taking you back in time to a hot, sultry place…a kooky, super sexy Insight Summer wonderland. They’ll be simmering snakeskin acid prints, textured feathers, streaky painterly stripes and modern-day grunge Hawaiian prints heat up the scene over gold, attention grabbing silhouettes. Icing details on the cake are the lace-up sides, one shoulder braids, zips, ruffles and gold eyelets. Rounding out the collection is whole story of sexy cover-ups and onesizes to take you from day to night.

Kooey- Nikki Silverthorne, Director/Design Team and Rachel Hagen, Stylist/Design Team
Trends seem to be shifting away from cutouts and “sexy” styles, towards more classic “glamorous” styles featuring frills and accessories. The classic colors of black, grey and white will stick around with purple being the hottest color for summer.

We are still believing in brights and neons for next year. Color continues to be important, especially within swim. We have alot of newness in silhouettes for Spring and Summer 10. We introduce our new crossback halter which is geared towards our atheletic, true surf girl. We feel it is important to balance and design our line for both the fashion savvy as well as our core customer. Also, as the bandeau becomes less fringe and more of a volume driving fit, we’ve expanded our offering within this silhouette by adding different verions of it. We are launching newness in fabrication for this upcoming season with our Shiny Lycra and a super soft microfiber. We are continuing to build on our Ripcurl Planet, eco friendly lycra.
